1937 Studebaker Coupe Express Pick-Up - which is our NDMC Floating Trophy. This Floating Trophy is awarded at our Rod Guérin Annual Diorama Competition.
Our club organises two competitions held annually in November and for which two respective Floating Trophies and several prizes are awarded.
“The Rod Guérin Annual Diorama Competition” is held where entrants make up a diorama to a set theme and rules - with the winner presented with “The Rod Guerin Annual Floating Trophy” - a suitably mounted and Perspex enclosed model of a 1937 Studebaker Coupe Express Pick-Up.
There are prizes awarded and the “Rod Guérin Floating Trophy” is presented to the winner.
“The Geoff Sear Floating Trophy for Enthusiast of the Year” is held for members to vote for the person who is their choice to win this prize - and is a suitably mounted and Perspex enclosed model of a Mini Cooper.
Both Floating Trophies hold a specific relevance to both the late Rod Guérin and the late Geoff Sear - who both held a special interest and love for their respective car make and type.
